@clarebee: No, they are not laminated.  My sister did a similar thing for her wedding and laminated them and I just didn’t like how it looked.  My photos are printed on metallic paper, which gives them a shiny look.  My sister bought the gold easels from someone on the Knot for her wedding last September.  I’m not sure where the original person got them from.  If your wedding wasn’t coming up so soon, I’d offer to sell them to you after my wedding!

@cllyons: Thanks! I’ve not seen a single thing like it either! Its pretty work intensive, but surprisingly cost-effective!

@cllyons:Oh that is such a good idea!!  Post pics if you do!  I did them on Picnic.com. I love that site!!  Then I just attached them to brown scrapbooking paper, then diff. patterened scrapbook paper that “goes with” our colors or whatev.  they are double sided.

we did ours on old paper I’d accumulated from getting samples of other wedding invites!  It worked awesome and DH did all the photoshopping!

My wedding had a 1930s feel so I found an old pic and photoshopped just a little bit of color into them. (also added flourishes and table numbers)

I found memo clips at Crate and Barrel and bought the round ones as singles at the store.

OMG Rabbit, your boats are amazing!!!!  All of your numbers looks so nice, this almost feels childish against them!!

Here are mine.  I’m going for the fun beachy theme, can you tell?  🙂  They’re not done yet…I haven’t glued them on.  I’m going to add some raffia and perhaps do some laminating too.  I have to see how that looks first, though.

I’m choosing between these three.

The left would be on a pick or something. The middle is just a tent. The right, obviously, is in a frame.

I dunno yet…
