Thank you, that’s really kind. I was nervous of the blush gown looking too princessy which is why I decided to get so Much colour in the flowers to try and balan out the princess with some fun!

I love peonies but you’re mad to lose the rancuculus. I wanted rancuculus but it was out of season. I think they are more original than peonies and the two look amazing together. Some beautiful bouquets on here, bees!

I used silk flowers too, I made mine with peonies, roses and calla lilies!  I think you should use ranunculus and peony together, so pretty 🙂

peonypanic:  same as you. Our peonies should have been blush/lighter but they ended up being darker pink as they didn’t really go with the roses but not really worried. I just wanted a simple bunch as we had a small budget for flowers and I still think it looked ‘clean’.  Some amazing bouquets on this thread bees!

on another note – I found these amazing faux peonies at a pound shop and bought loads of them. I thought faux flowers might be a bit rubbish but these were a bargain and our flower arranging friend mixed them in with real flowers and real greenery and they made beautiful but budget decor to cover the venues.

This was my bouquet! Peonies were tucked in with dahlias and succulents and all kinds of things. My florist blew me away. Peonies are the best!

UK-bee:  Oh your bouquet is gorgeous! Your peonies are still quite pale pink. That’s the look I probably should have gone for, my florist went a bit crazy with the random ferns (not to mention “surprise” fuchsia and deep purple hydrangeas at the venue when I’d requested light pink and green to match the colour scheme) but then we are in the south of Italy, not so easy to source certain types of flowers, plus bouquets here are done differently and they just can’t nail the “English garden” look that I’d have loved

Zeldastar04:  Where did you buy your flowers for your DIY bouquet? I’m considering doing my own bouquet but am having a hard time finding peonies that look realistic enough. Yours looks great!

brsalinas:  The calla lilies came from afloral.com:  http://www.afloral.com/Search?keywords=real+touch+calla+lily

The roses were purchased at Michael’s, I don’t remember the brand, but I was very happy with them.  If you want some reaaaallly nice real touch roses (I didn’t find these until I  did my sisters wedding flowers a year later than mine!), check these out:  http://www.flowers-by-design.com/real-touch-silk-flowers-roses/?gclid=CNHqiJOx680CFdgPgQodnn8Org

The peonies (which is what you asked about… lol) came from flowers-by-design.com:  http://www.flowers-by-design.com/real-touch-peony/

The problem is that they are almost ALWAYS out of stock.  I checked the page every day for like four months straight, and got lucky, they came into stock!!  I ordered so many different peonies from so many places to find ones that I was happy with.  Afloral.com seems to have several new options of peony since my wedding 3 years ago, lots of nice looking ones you could check out!  http://www.afloral.com/Search?keywords=real+touch+peony

I still get so excited about silk wedding bouquets! lol I am DREAMING of my other sister’s wedding so I can do more bouquets.  =P

aliven:  I love this. All I would say to bees is that when you ask for white they tend to come out creamy or greeny. Pure white is very difficut to achieve. But totally gorgeous of course….
