Oh my goodness I love all of these. I really wish it would become standard to have a colored stone for engagement rings. I feel like they are so expressive and personal, not to mention lovely.

@Bluelevisjean: that is just stunning! truly beautiful. : )

Here is mine, though I’ve posted it many times before:

It’s a Morganite in a Moissanite halo.  : ) I have seen several Morganite rings around here lately – maybe I should start a thread to collect them!

@Bluelevisjean:That’s beautiful. I have been afraid to paint my nails red for fear of looking too Red White and Blue, but now seeing it on you, it works!

I just got engaged, so my engagement ring is still being fitted, so I don’t have a picture of the ring on my finger, but here’s a picture of my exact ring. I can’t wait until it’s fitted and I can show it off Laughing

@moonadea: Your morganite is so gorgeous!! And yes, *please* start a thread to collect them… I love them so much, and considered getting one but I’n way too rough on my hands to treat a beryl right… plus I’m way too crazy about all things blue to get anything but a sapphire πŸ˜‰

Ladies, I love all of your rings! Here’s mine! It’s an unheated/untreated 1.53 carat Ceylon blue sapphire from the Natural Sapphire Company, bezel-set in platinum and surrounded by Canadian diamonds. I got to design it, and I love it to pieces πŸ™‚

This isn’t my e-ring or wedding band. They are diamonds. But this is my anniversary ring that is hiding until I can get it on our anniversary. I LOVE colored stones! LOVE! Its blue & white sapphires:

I stumbled across this site looking at some other things on the web and just felt like I had to comment.

LOVE, LOVE,LOVE these rings!!! Some seriously gorgeous sparklies here! I want to give all of you a little pat on the back for opting for colored stones.  I did it over 17 years ago and have NEVER regretted it!

My Honey had been engaged twice before and said in jest that he’d never buy another woman a diamond and I just told him that was fine by me ’cause I wanted a ruby! πŸ˜‰ Later on when we went to look at rings at the store, they were hosting an estate sale! We found some awesome Victorian semi-matching ruby and rose cut diamond bands and fell in love with them! Had to have them. We bought the wedding bands first, LOL. When we went later on to find my ruby e-ring we lucked out and came across a loose stone sale. The jeweler had a 3/4 ct mined ruby that was clear and bright with deep reddish-purple color. They set it in a simple 6-prong setting and it was the perfect thing to go with my band. When worn together the rings always make me think of a tiny ruby tiara! πŸ˜‰ After all these years, I still catch myself just smiling and looking at my beautiful rings!

For any of you who are on the fence about daring to be different, judging from my experience, Ladies, if you love it and it speaks to you, hang all the naysayers and carry on! πŸ™‚

Many blessing on all of you and I wish you long and joyous marriages!!!

I always knew I wanted a big rock! So without the Kardashians ring budget I had to select a stone that wasn’t a diamond! After the Fiance found this – I couldn’t be happier!
8 carat Brazilian Tourmaline emerald cut with Baguette Diamonds in Platinum! I get lots of comments about it and could not imagine a ‘normal’ diamond engagement ring now!
