Loving all the beautiful dresses in this thread! 😍

I don’t have a good picture of it but here is my dress (before alterations!) It’s a little more pink in real life than it looks in the pic (it’s classified as blush, but it’s kind of a combination. The underneath part is a champagne color, then it has both ivory and blush overlays, with rose gold detailing/lace. The color is kind of like if champagne and blush had a baby haha with a little more on the blush side than the pic shows!)

Eeep! Nervous to share this.. My mum is making my dress!! It’s going to be a pretty relaxed / simple / Not overly bridal two piece in peach skin silk. She hasn’t started actually making it yet, we will be starting a proper mock up / toile over Christmas – exactly as how she will make the real one. Can’t wait to watch it develop!

Photo below is a very rough mock up pulled together using old cheap curtain lining and pinned together. whilst we were nailing down the final pattern and overall look!!

😱 I’m so nervous! (But also have my eye on the BHLDN Sawyer dress as a back up should my ma lose a thumb..!)

I will share the next version which should hopefully be a better representation!!!

Also pls ignore the mess..!

My dress was made for me by a close friend who is a dressmaker. I think bridal gowns are absolutely stunning, and I love all the dresses on this thread so far, but I just didn’t feel that a traditional dress was me.

Based on what I wanted, my friend and I came up with the design together.

I wanted it to be a shorter length dress so I could freely dance without worrying about tripping over, I didn’t want it to show cleavage yet didn’t want it to be a high neckline lol (I’m not a prude, but I have large boobs and I don’t like drawing attention to them because I don’t like them myself), I wanted to be comfortable in both dress and shoes, and I wanted it to look pretty when I twirled.

It was such a fun process, we went fabric shopping together, and just seeing it come together every few weeks in the lead up was amazing! I paid for the fabric, and my friend gifted her time, which is just so beautiful and generous.
