@shiney: Thanks! We used antique green hydrangea, peonies, ranunculus, and garden roses in mine. And we added wax flower  for the girls.

@PrincessMandieMae: I’ve been totally kicking myself since the wedding because I keep seeing all these awesome pictures of cotton being used in weddings, and it would have been great for my bridesmaids’ bouquets! Oh well, their hydrangeas were pretty ๐Ÿ™‚

@linguo42:  I ended up not doing cotton Cry.  My florist and I were talking and we couldn’t see how we could get a cotton bouquet without it costing a lot since we’d have to have it delivered from the south, plus with all the weather issues.  But I’m ok with it.  I’m really excited about what we decided instead.  Which is dark red dahlias, orange coxcomb, red pincushion protea, wheat, bunny tails, curly willow, red kangaroo paws and a bunch of other rustic and unique flowers and plants.  Her inspiration for my bouquet is the following picture, however, my flowers will be different but you’ll get the idea of the colors and textures.

Here is my bouquet- I told the florist I wanted it to look like I gathered it from my garden- it has tulips, roses, daisies, daffodils, and snapdragons.  It was small and lightweight and I loved it ๐Ÿ™‚

Mine will look like this with yellow roses in it as well. Bridemaids will be smaller hand tied posies with sunflowers, greenery & the deep purple flowers.

This is my inspiration photo – minus the rhinestones!  The website said the pink flowers are dahlia, my florist thinks they look more like peonies.  I’m obsessed with open peonies (not so much a fan when they’re not fully open) so she is going to create this bouquet for me with pink peonies, ivory roses, and stephanotis.   If she can’t get peonies (as they’re out of season in July) she’ll substitute in ivory hydrangeas and make the roses pale pink instead.   Bridesmaid or Best Man bouquets are going to be ivory and pink hydrangea and some pink carnations (full, gorgeous carnations – not the small cheap ones!)
