I live in a city where EVERYONE uses Yelp and I’m fairly new to the city so I don’t really know anyone so that’s what i used. I also googled the seamstress’s name to see what she had done in the past. If you know a lot of people in the area you could ask around and see where other brides have taken their dresses for alterations, usually the seamstresses in small towns are older and have been doing their jobs for their whole lives.
