I have to admit, I didn’t have a pleasant experience at David’s Bridal, but I attribute that to the fact that it was a Saturday and I showed up without an appointment (my bad). I did find a couple of beautiful dresses that were contenders in my search. I didn’t end out ordering from David’s, but they do have beautiful dresses!

I actually had a great experience at DB! Here’s the dress I bought (having it altered to make it slightly more fitted around the legs, and removing the appliqué on the side, and I’ve bought a better strapless bra since!), and another dress I thought was gorgeous but not exactly what I was looking for.

I had a great experience at DB and actually almost bought this Melissa Sweet dress. Ultimately though, I had an even better experience at a local shop and was happy to pay a little more for a dress with more structure and better fabrics. The original price point of this dress was $1050 (compared to the $1100 I spent on the nicer Essense dress, it seemed expensive to me), but it is on sale for $850 now.

Here is mine! I went with David’s since I wanted a Tea Length dress, planned our wedding in 6 months and actually wanted to try on the dress and not order based on sight and measuements. I eneded up shortening the very long t-lenghth dress, adding a petticoat and belt and everyone thought my dress was custom made!
