@momolove:  looks beautiful! All of my nails broke so I’m in the process of re-growing them so I can do them again.

Found a quick tip- if your nails are looking rough and no time for a professional mani- shape, file your nails and put a clear coat on. It will look like you made an effort! I did this last night for my oldests graduation and so many people said I had pretty nails!

Here is my “waiting ring” that my BF bought me this weekend. It is an emerald cut amethyst (antique art deco) with my french manicure on my super short nails!

I just got my ring back after having been without it since a diamond fell out. These pictures were taken in a dark room so my ring doesn’t look as good as it could, but I love the way my mani looks!

@starla:  great job! question, I love when I see nails like that but I’m wondering- does the 3D art get caught on anything? I am afraid if I get my nails done I’d end up bumping intom something and wrecking my nails lol. I like your stand in set. Isn’t your ring the one from the 40’s with the amethyst and the diamonds around the basket? so sorry a diamond fell out!

@mrs.t_finally:  Thanks :). Yeah, it has diamonds on the basket and along the shank, and one of the diamonds fell off the side of the shank. So now I’m wearing my old promise ring with my wedding bands.

 

As for the nail art, it definitely feels weird at first. It doesn’t really get in the way that much, except maybe washing my hair in the shower. If you use a good nail glue it will last 3-5 days before the embellishments start to fall out. At least that’s the case with me, and I’m pretty hard on my hands.

@starla:  awww, so sorry about your beauty! I love vintage/heirloom engagement rings and yours always stuck in my mind because of the unique color and shank/crown! hope they fix it soon!

thanks for the info on the nail art…guess I’ll have to get supplies at sally’s and try it out. they’re selling the shellac now so I may get 1 color to try out with the 3D art 🙂

@jcent:  thanks! love the color! going to have to pick it up for summer. I love bold neons for summer because it makes me look tanner than I am normally lol. (i’m a pale face irish chic)

tried something diff last night. did a french manicure but instead of white, used a coral glitter polish. unfortunately my dishwasher broke after I did my manicure so I had to hand wash all the dishes and my manicure hadn’t set yet. have to redo it today. I’ll take a pic when it’s done 🙂
