Oh I love this thread so much. Such beautiful rings.

This is my grandma’s engagement ring. She was a wartime bride.

I wanted to use it for my wedding ring but my FH wants something all our own … so I will probably wear it on my right hand- I love this ring so much

My husband and I met and married when we were both working in crappy jobs. My set was under 2k for both rings. 5/8 ct center stone in a $100 setting, paired with a thin wedding band with 5 small stones. DSC_0640

notkhaleesi :  do you happen to know the dimensions of your stone? I’m looking at something similar in size .

loveoldthings :  I do! The setting is for a 6 mm × 4 mm, but the stone is on the long side and was 6.1 mm × 3.85 mm. My ring size is a 6, but my fingers are on the short side (so if you have very long fingers, the same size might look smaller on you). I’ve been wearing my ring for over a year now and still think the size of it is perfect. 🙂

Here is my .3 solitaire from Blue Nile that I just got last week. It is super sparkly and I can’t stop staring at it.

I’d consider mine to be pretty modest.

Love this thread! I have teeny hands so I really appreciate stones and settings that are on the daintier side. Here’s my newest addition. Not sure of the specs, but I know the center stone is under a carat. SO picked it out without my input and he did so good!
