naeunly:  I’m not sure. I know he got the stone and the setting from two different stores in Michigan, both small, locally owned stores. The setting had yellow gold on the sides. My Fiance got that melted off and changed to rose gold and made into a Fleur de Lis.

Totalkaos1983:  New Orleans was settled largely by the French and the Fleur de Lis is a French symbol meaning “flower of the lily”. It was used often in coats of arms and worn in battle. Sometimes it stands for the holy trinity. A lot of people in New Orleans love anything and everything with a Fleur de Lis on it. It is also part of the Saints (football team) logo. Here is a picture of a Fleur de Lis.

alpinebride:  Aw thank you so much ๐Ÿ˜€ I don’t think I have ever had a compliment on my freckles before, thank you x

My nail polish is champagne toast by Sally Hansen. It is my favourite and I’m considering wearing it on my wedding day Totalkaos1983:

We have the exact same specs and size finger. ivanovna13:   doesn’t that take up perfect space on our fingers? It makes it look so much bigger lol, although that’s plenty big for to begin with. Your stone is stunning!

Totalkaos1983:  thank you! and i think it takes up the perfect amount of room. i tried on a 1 ct and that just seemed to be too overwhelming for my finger so i think 3/4 is a perfect size.

ivanovna13:  To be honest I never thought Id be getting married (I had alot of issues and felt to damged for anyone to ever want me) Then I thought even If I did get married Id never be with someone who would think im good enough to buy a ring for (Again my issues befor hand) Then when I actually got engaged (With a stand in ring) I didnt think I was good enough for anything over $200 and so I was looking into colored stones and such. My fiance said what ever I wanted but prefered a colorless stone if not diamond. He also wanted me to at least spend $500 since I wasnt willing to spend  much at all. (He has the income to buy me a $5,500 but Im not that type of girl to spend money that way) So I agreed but was really trying to stay well below. That why I started looking into used. We did pawn shops, online and then one day he said to go see a client of his who owns jis own jewlery store. So we did and he said he had a ring that he has that hes had a long time, but was waiting for a special customer to show or sell and he showed us my current ring. I fell in love and even though it was above both our set budget, My fiance said I should get it since we couldnt pass up the deal. So the Jewler sent us out that day to look at other rings that size and specs to see what we woud pay anywhere else because of the price and how I felt about it. After doing that I had no question it was a smart buy, and he put the down payment on it. What was great was he allowed us to pay as much or as little as we wanted when we wanted (That means If we paid once a year untill it was paid it was ok) and we used cash to pay. It took 6mths due to medical issues of mine arrising and child care things popping up, but we paid all in cash and it was paid off the day he took it home!!!!!! How great is that? And to top it all off I never in a million years thought if I did have a ring it would be that big or pretty and real lol
