  • Wedding: September 2017 - Ceremony and Reception: Historic mansion on the water

My venue is a historical mansion on the water.  The venue has a lovely garden where my ceremony will be held, a reflecting pool that we will take pics around and will host the cocktail hour, an outdoor patio (this overlooks the water) that will be tented to host the reception, and inside will be used for dancing.  I fell in love with immediately.  It is perfect for the vision I have for my wedding day.  ๐Ÿ™‚

Both of your venues look great!!  I’m so excited about mine as well- its The Barn at Gibbet Hill, a big renovated barn on a huge beef cattle farm and their food is all farm to fork and soooooo delicious!  I’m in veterinary school and I loved everything about it as soon as I set foot on the property, I love cows and the farm to fork philosophy was really important to me!! ๐Ÿ™‚

mjohnson88:  I grew up not far from there, and while I’ve never been to a wedding there, the food at Gibbet Hill is DELICIOUS!

We’re getting married in an old meeting house (where the Boston Tea Party was planned) before heading over to our reception on the 37th floor of a skyscraper in downtown Boston.

And the views!

You all have such beautiful venues!

My vow renewal venue will be a small inn in Niagara Falls. My decor will be red and white to match the colors. It is perfect for an intimate gathering. We’re having a ceremony at a chapel before the reception:

My venue is a beautiful historic mansion with a lawn so large they play polo on it in the summer! I am so excited to get married there:

We are getting married at a Plantation style home in Texas. I never wanted an outdoor ceremony but was sold by the beautiful space and drama of the staircase entrance! We will be doing up lighting and string lights similar to the photos

All of these venues are amazing!! We’re getting married at Ravisloe Country Club in Homewood, IL. We really wanted a mansion/estate feel and there are are not many places in Chicago that fit. But, I found this venue and fell in love!!!

Here’s mine! It’s a historic building in Faurfax, Virginia. We’re having the ceremony upstairs and the reception downstairs.
