These venues are INSANE! We chose a nice golf course in our city. It has an entire wall of windows and a large balcony for cocktail hour. I really like it but most of your venues look downright MAGICAL! I’m DIYing my fingers to the bone to get the magical look, lol. Like, instead of hanging paper lanters from the ceiling like in the pics, I’m making eight 3ft crystal chandeliers to hang instead.

This is a fantastic thread!  I hope some of you post photos from your weddings at these gorgeous locations!

My fiancé and I are getting married at the Sunset Room just outside of DC at National Harbor.  We fell in love with the view overlooking the water, and the modern white wall accents the venue has.  We also love the outside terrace for cocktail hour.  We’re doing an interfaith ceremony, so we also loved that there is a space for the wedding and a separate space for the reception.

My daughters both wanted elegant and gold, as key words. They both chose historic proprties – 100 and 80 years old. The bottom is of the Gold Ballroom at the Hotel duPont (google search photo), Wilmington, DE, and the 1st the Grand Lobby (while setting up) of the Hershey Theatre, in PA. The 2nd photo is the ceiling of the Grand Lobby. We didn’t have to add much, to the decor, since the architecture was so interesting.

Wow these are all truly gorgeous, I’m impressed by how many unique venues there are around the country/world! I’m jealous of all the beautiful outdoor ceremony sites, I really wanted a plantation style wedding on the lawn somewhere, but it was also important to be really close to a hotel and I couldn’t find a balance, so I went with a downtown wedding.

Here is the ceremony site (my Fiance really wanted a church wedding):

And our reception site is a few blocks down in the same city, having no carpet was really important to me so I love the old hardwood floors and brick walls!

My venue is an historic 1860 building called 128 South in downtown Wilmington, NC. We are doing wedding and reception on the deck Which overlooks the river,  the riverboat and downtown rooftops .    Cocktail hour inside.

This is my reception venue. Main draw is the massive antipasto bar they set up for when the guests come in to the reception, before the meal.

Oh man, I love looking at everyone’s gorgeous venues!

We are getting married in the Bay Area at an outdoor venue called Nestldown. I love all the greenery, the redwoods, and the ponds. The indoor ‘barn’ area is where we will have our dancing/cake. I love the wood and vaulted ceilings.

2XMOB:  love, LOVE the Hotel DuPont! We considered it but it was too far of a hike for many of our guests 🙁 That photo has me regretting that decison! Just gorgeous!

We’re getting married in Philadelphia. Views are right out over Independence Hall!
