Do you have a picture of what that looks like actually around the ring? I’m not sure I actually know how that works or what a wrap/enhancer is. Is it instead of a wedding band?

I love the threads about enhancers!

I just had my 5th anniversary, and wanted to up the bling a bit. We had bought a simple solitaire with the plan to re-set someday. I’ve had it 6 years and still not sure what I want to do.

I was led here  when doing a search for halo enhancers for emerald and princess cuts. I contined my search and ended up with this one — G color, .50 carat. My emerald-cut solitaire is .71, size 6.44 x 4.68, G color. I had always thought I’d want baguettes added or traps… but was intrigued to see what the small round cuts would look like, surrounding my stone. I don’t care for dellicate milgrain or filigree, but managed to find EXACTLY what I had in mind! Who knew it even existed… bought it the first day I searched online, and received it three days later….

I love it! The rounds make the main stone glitter, they are very prism-y…and enhance my solitaire to the point my own mother asked me if we’d bought a bigger diamond! She noticed it within 15 seconds of my stepping into her house.

My solitaire slid in as if the wrap had been made to order, it has a Blue Nile simple setting that’s either 1.5mm or 2mm?  Fairly thin, I never did like that. I am very sentimental about my original ring, though i had never been fond of the plain setting. Maybe I’ll never change it..but for now, I definitely LOVE my wrap, enhancer, guard, insert — whatever you call it. Even though my solitaire is platinum and the wrap is white gold, it all works, I think.

(obviously, it’s not used as a wedding band. my 3mm heavy comfort-fit band has not been off since my husband placed it on my finger on our wedding day. I don’t mind that it doesn’t “match” the engagement ring or “snuggle” it. that’s a look I actually prefer)

A fun change, and a bargain deal!
