Hi bees! So I’m recently engaged (yay!) with a knife edge 6 prong ring with a RB 1.03 carat. I always wanted to sandwich whatever ring I received in between two delicate diamond wedding bands (preferably non-knife edge). It’s been difficult to find pics of this look for knife edge e-rings. If you have this setup, could you please post pics? And let me know width of bands and how you addressed any concerns about the bands scratching the prongs or shank of the e-ring? (my e-ring is about 2.2mm but obviously appears thinner due to the knife edge). Can’t wait to see!! Thank you! 🙂

I wear this setup sometimes. My e-ring is approx. 1.8 mm with a softened knife edge, so it appears thinner. The diamond is 1.85 ct and finger size is 5.5 (rings are sized slightly larger to accommodate large knuckles, swelling and stacking). The matching micro-pave half-eternity bands are approx. 1.7-1.8 mm. and are bead set with milgrain so there is no rubbing. I use one of these bands as a spacer between any other bands I wear with my e-ring to prevent rubbing (see second pic). HTH!

vestedbee : Do you mind if I ask where you got the micro-pave bands with milgrain? I’ve been looking for something like this and having a hard time finding bands under 2mm

JenJennyJennifer : I don’t mind at all, but I don’t think it will be much help since I got these from my local jeweler. If you have a reputable jeweler nearby, maybe show them the pic and see if they can source something like it.
