So exited! Just got my ring back after extensive changes…soldered the bands closer together, updated the center stone, sized down to 5.5.
Center stone: .095 ct brilliant round
I love it, but I always worry the carat weight isn’t enough…otherwise, I’m in love! It’s actuallyquite large for a “midwest” rinf. The old center stone was SWALLOWED by the thickband. I just want to see those rings! Sorry for the huge image..

Thank you so much! I love how fun and unique everyone’s rings are. There has been a HUGE influx of engagement rings in my area (Madison,WI) that all look so overly-manufactured and are made uup of a lot of tiny stones with no “real” center stone to them…just a bunch of tiny diamonds clustered together to make the ring look bigger than they really are and they simply have no character. I don’t know if that’s seen elsewhere…but they truly look like no effort is put into them. Effort counts more than carats in my opinion!
As for my band, we did something a little unique. The band in the front was purchased by a parents to signify where I was coming from, my e-ring signifies where I was heading, and the band closest to my hand,(my “true” wedding band signifies where I am heading and my future with my husband. I really like the idea, I just wish that the band was a little bit thinner when soldered together. Anyway, I really like the idea of having a reminder of my parents after they’re gone and being able to thank them for helping me become who I am today. Maybe a new family tradition? 🙂
