it was a close call! I was not expecting to love this style as much as I did.. I love Amsale’s style… but decided it wasn’t contemporary enough for me ๐Ÿ™‚ I went with the first and ditched the second

@MrsNeutrino: Who is the designer of the dress in your picture? Is that the Amsale dress?

@jagboo33: yep:) Amsale is the second one that I did not go with, the first is my Vera Wang Ethel dress.

Oh the Paloma Blanca 4116 gown.  I don’t have a picture of me in it, but I loved it.  It was so pretty, but in the end I felt like the dress was wearing me instead of me wearing the dress.

It was super fun to twirl in though.  Just a beautiful dress, I still love everything about it-just not for me.

This is the one that I ALMOST went with.

It was an off the rack sample with no tags, so I never did find out which style it was – and the sash wasn’t included, it was an add-on. I still love how classic and elegant it was, but I didn’t have the same ‘moment’ as I did with my gown.

I posted several dresses in similar threads before but forgot about this one…I would’ve bought this dress it wasn’t over $7K, had I not already purchased two other dresses before, and had the chest area not been made strictly for A-cup girls. It’s Jennifer Garner’s dress in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (though I didn’t realize it when I tried it on).  The sample dress was four sizes too big on me everywhere else but the bust still didn’t fit me, made me look like I have boob fat.
