I found an ornament and my mom helped cut the loop off the top, then we used wire to attach a florists’ card pick to the bottom to stick in the cake.  It was perfect in the end.  Sorry I don’t have a better photo right now, I’ve got a close up just not available at the moment.

@kfricke89: I actually chose the same cake topper you did! I just love it. I’m also adding a monogram “M” to a middle/lower layer on the cake, too. I’m just about to order the Willow Tree cake topper, and couldn’t decide if I should order the figurine or the cake topper. The figurine is cheaper, but it doesn’t have a base, so I’m wondering if it’ll be stable at the top of the cake. Were you worried about that at all?

I love Willow Tree figurines too, and considered the figurine you are using for our cake topper. I already have several of their figurines, but we have so much “stuff”, I think we are just going to have icing flowers on the top of our cake as the cake topper.

I love our cake topper.  It is perfectly ‘us’.  Romantic and a little bit fun!  However, I’m going to use porcelin paint to change the bride’s shoes to the color of mine.
