DoctorGirl – I just revisited your gown, and it’s AMAZING! You should post some pictures of yourself in it! Who is it made by?

@Driftslikesmoke:  If you are able to post some pictures of the front of your dress, could you please?  I saw your dress in a magazine yesterday and absolutely fell 100% in love.  It looks stunning on you!  It must be fate that I saw it on accident yet again today.  She’s calling out my name! Hehe…

@MrsMosses–I LOVE your dress fantastic choice!

Mine is tricky..I’m having it custom made, a combination of three dresses.  I liked the v-neck on the casablance, but hated the strappy back (it seemed too boring for me!) SO:

    The neckline is casablanca 1831[attachment=113882,2551]
The skirt is private label by G   [attachment=113882,2552]
1603and the back is going to be some sort of low v-neck style (the picture won’t attach for some reason!

Here’s a detail of the work on the front. It’s exactly the same on the back, and the buttons close to cover a hidden zipper. Also note that they said it’s easy to add corseting inside (the bridal shop where I got mine offered it for free), so if your waistline isn’t tiny and trim, they can help you hide that! πŸ™‚

I hope this helps, Marquette! I have to say, I love my gown. As a bonus, it’s not heavy at all, and the Godavari Silk it’s made of feels SOOOO luxurious!

Oh my gosh your dresses are gorgeous!

I absolutly love mine as well and it was the very first one I tried on, even though I waited a few months to buy it in order to "shop around." I kept compairing them all to my dress!

Oh my gosh! Gorgeous!! I think a woman always looks prettier with a curve or two. Much better than a stick-thin shape, to me. You look beautiful in it! No need to be shy!! That tulle on the backside is so so cool. πŸ™‚

My wedding colors are peacock blue, plum/aubergine, moss, brown, and frost.

I love the idea of making it blue and having it be my something blue. I thought of plum, but I don’t how how dark I could get the crinoline, and I don’t want it to come out lavender. I’m also planning on peacock colored shoes. πŸ˜€

Can you tell I’m not afraid of color?? πŸ™‚

    Gosh,

There are some gorgeous dresses here!

This is my dress that I just ordered last week.  I got it in Ivory and it’s supposed to be here in 5 more weeks!  Awesome

I am thinking about ordering a second one for the reception, like a mermaid style but am not sure, this is a big dress and I am concerned about moving around it it.  But I do love it.

LatteLove!!  Mine is being custom made as well!  From three different dresses!!! How funny!   It’s an Alvina Valenta (part of the Jim Hjelm line) and I love it. It’s being custome made as I type (maybe right now, who knows! πŸ™‚ ) It will be done in late March so when I return from my time in Portland I’ll be able to try her on!  I’m going to try to post some of hte pictures but it’s hard because it is the bust of one dress, the straps of another, and the skirt of a third! (I just couldnt find "the one" and the woman at the dress shop said that we coudl combine them all! It wasn’t much more expensive to do this as they were basically jsut taking three parts of different dresses and mixing and matching them. I can’t wait to see it in it’s true form!
