@FutureMrsMaher: What’s funny is that I’m a pro photographer… I’m obsessed with making sure what few historical family photos we have are archived. You’ve got such an treasure of photos, they are wonderful!!

These pictures are great.

I noticed, though, that none of the dresses are sexy like a lot of the dresses are now.

I actually have a great deal from my dad’s side (my mom’s parents eloped when my grandma graduated high school) so I’ll pick only a few

My great aunt (paternal grandmother’s sister)’s wedding in the 50’s. My grandma I believe is in yellow

My Paternal Grandparents.

Going from the left: My grandfather’s adopted parents from Norway, my grandmother, grandfather, my great-grandma Gigi, and my great aunt (on grandmother’s side). This is the mid 50s I believe

My grandfather getting ready for his wedding

My parent’s wedding in 1986 (this is the old sanctuary at my church, it was built in the 70s and not really updated until 3-4 years ago)

From the left: My uncle, his daughter, his wife, my aunt, my mom, my dad, my grandmother, and grandfather

At my parent’s reception with my great-grandma Gigi and the Kransekake (my mom made her hat- it lasted until I was old enough to play dress up where I promptly destroyed it, she admits it wasn’t a loss)

I don’t have any of our grandparents, or my husbands parents, but I have a few of my mom and dad’s very low key wedding (and a BIG reason in my mom’s mind at least, for why she wanted me to have the dress of my dreams):

My dad, my mom, and their maid of honor and best man:

Close up of my mom and dad:

I love how handsome my dad looks and how pretty my mom looks in this photo!  I love my mom’s little hand gloves and the big floppy lace bow in her hair.  🙂

My grandpa (mom’s side), Aunt Anita (mom’s side, little girl), Grandma (mom’s side, mom, dad, Grandma (dad’s side, Aunt Deb (dad’s side), and Grandpa (dad’s side:

Their gift table!

Like I said, I don’t have a picture of my in-laws wedding, but I DO have a picture of my Mother-In-Law in her dress years later.  Pictured are my BIL’s Rein and Gerard, my Mother-In-Law, and my husband:

I love seeing all of these old pictures!!
