I am in absolute awe of all of your rings, Bees!! They are stunning!
How Did you react when he popped the question?

Since you have a preference for blue sapphires, I thought you might like blue spinel as well. Usually when miners find spinel, they know sapphire is nearby bc they have almost the same chemical makeup…sapphire is aluminum oxide and spinel is magnesium aluminum oxide and is an 8 on the Moh’s scale. I got this blue spinel yesterday:

That is such a gorgeous blue – it is deep and rich. Much approvals! Your knowledge is fantastic as well – are you a gemologist per chance? Haha
And yep… I am a blue sapphire girl through and through!
Thanks for sharing 🙂

LOL thank you! Nope I’m just your average Jane who has an unhealthy obsession with gemstones and jewelry haha.

We have the stone, we picked out the setting (photoshopped above) and I’m so READY TO HAVE IT ON MY FINGER! Haha! It’s a pretty expensive setting so I probably won’t get it until the end of the year, but I can talk about my stone! (The setting will be platinum, not white gold but close enough!) My stone is a natural GIA certified Radiant cut unheated Ceylon sapphire in a medium cornflower blue with translucence. I’m in the jewelry industry and I am a gemstone junkie so it had to be perfect! 🙂
