YES! I was specifically looking for that "princess" dress

NO! I was looking for the opposite (fit & flare, mermaid, etc.)

I didn't know what I was looking for

No tulle anywhere (not even in the petticoats) but definitely poofy.

I originally wanted a mermaid gown but quickly figured out that it was very hard to move in them and that I wanted more drama.  This is what I ended up with.

I LOVE tulle ballgowns!  I almost got one, but ended up with an organza full A line instead.  You ladies all look wonderful in yours – such a great look ๐Ÿ™‚

@Petite_Fraise:  Yours is stunning!  I can’t wait to see it on you in ivory ๐Ÿ™‚

@Petite_Fraise:  It is 10 layers of tulle but in that photo I have a large crinoline underneath as well.

I *almost* bought a tulle ballgown (twice, actually) but in the end could not afford it and went with a totally different sample dress I found. I loved how romantic I felt in the dress…had a total princess moment.

I pretty much always wanted a ball gown, for a brief time I was infatuated with lace modified a-lines, but then I remembered I would be super self conscious of my hips/thighs/butt. And ballgowns are more comfortable, I can move my legs anywhere I want and wear sweatpants under if I get cold! I just like the way they look the most, and I get to twirl!

Vera Wang Hayley, skirt is made of organza petals on top of pleated honeycomb tulle.  I knew I wanted a ballgown, but I never wanted to be a princess.

@Petite_Fraise:   I practiced sitting in the dress before I bought it.  It’s not hard ๐Ÿ˜‰
