newbee90 :  Aw thank you 🙂 I actually made the bouquet myself from florals from Hobby Lobby 😀 It was like $35 total including supplies for the whole bouquet.

sarathemermaid :  That’s amazing! Did someone help you with it or did you watch DIY videos?

chillbee29 :  I just followed a simple DIY picture tutorial from Pinterest. At Hobby Lobby I chose the flowers in the length/color I wanted and held them as a bouquet in the store to get an idea of how it would be shaped. I was inspired by Princess Diana’s bouquet which was a cascading shape. I had some florals that stuck straight up and added Ivy and another “willow” kind of flower that hung down to form the cascade look.

I just used floral wire for the bulk of the flowers and then used hot glue to make sure everything stayed in place and hot glued the cascading front pieces. It only took me maybe an hour or so to make everything!

newbee90 :  I fully went in expecting to get a Cathedral length veil with lace edging. The catherdral length was beautiful, but i loved the way the length of this one came around and covered my shoulders/arms. It is from David’s bridal. My dress was not, so i was happy to find something that matched!

princessval77 :  Omg – I’m so glad I’m not alone in the cape veil thing!  Everyone has looked at me like I have 3 heads when I say that’s what I want, lol.  You look STUNNING with it!

Mine was chapel length with lace edge. I always like to point out that I was 44 at my wedding because brides over 40 seem to need permission to wear more than a beige pants suit. LOL.

This is my veil! The scalloped lace matches that on my dress! It was such a fortunate find! I am now picturing how this massive cathedral veil will fare walking down a more narrow aisle 😁

This has to be my favorite thread on here in quite awhile! Great for inspiration or admiration!! You all have gorgeous veils and I love seeing the different styles. My veil became one of my most treasured aspects of my wedding day look; although I never would’ve expected that! The first time I tried on a veil I did not think it would matter much but it was such a beautiful, spritual feeling for me. I originally purchased the veil I tried on with my dress but later decided I had to find one I loved so I got an incredible ivory mantilla lace veil on Etsy. It happened to match so perfectly with the dramatic lace hem on my dress! I thought I might want a longer veil but wound up falling in love with how the fingertip lenth draped around my arms. I could never have imagined that my veil would make such an impact in my photos and all of our guests commented on my veil. Whether you want a long sweeping veil, a royal cape or a roaring cage veil; Go big or go home!!!

My wedding hasn’t happened yet, so my lamp will be the fashion model to show off my veil.

Ivory tulle fingertip/but length veil with gold embroidered flowers. Double layered, so the short side would go over my face. I wanted to use my grandmothers veil, but when we went to retrieve it, it had been damaged. So she went out and bought me a veil as similar to hers as she could find.
