I’m not a flashy person and don’t feel the need to have everything around me be totally ooak to prove my ‘specialness’. Lol, all of our children have very classic/traditionally spelled/gender appropriate names as well. Its our style.

That is a whopper! I have a 1.5ct solitaire and another .5 ct band (11 stones, channel set-very simple) cause husband said I could. 🙂

I’m a firm believer in a statement stone, and you have that going for you! Beautiful set.

I tell my husband he did too good a job when he designed my engagment ring, because I didn’t want to add a thing to it! We have matching bands. Silver-aluminum alloy, square edges with a brushed finish. Mines a bit smaller gaude than his. If he was awake I’d picture them together! I love how the bands represent our style so well!

Haven’t decided on a wedding band yet, but here’s my e-ring with a sterling band — I was curious to see what it’d look like, so had to give it a try! Really loving its simplicity.

Mine is plain in that it is all metal but with a carved floral pattern. I think it is so pretty and I love that I can wear it all the time without fear of losing any stones. If I didn’t have this band I would have had a plain one – plain bands are so elegant and allow the engagement ring to shine!

redpeonies:  My rings are sliding around a lot since I’ve lost some weight and they need to be resized but here is my plain solitaire with a plain band.

redpeonies:  Beautiful, beautiful set! I was thinking about a pave band but loved some plain sets I saw on Pricescope. Also, I plan to wear my wedding band forever and 24 hours a day, I would rather not have to worry about pave popping out. I still have the option of a diamond eternity ring for extra sparkle but I can opt in and out of wearing it.  and that is what I hope to do.

The bands are in the box now until June 29th but I took some cheeky pics before hiding them away:

I love it plain! I didn’t have an engagement ring until WAY after we were married. I didn’t think I wanted a stone at all, but changed my mind 🙂 I do love simple bands though.

My rings are replacements for the original set I lost.  It was a .20 carat.  The DH replaced it this Valetine’s day with an E-F color 3/4 carat VS1 solitaire. NEVER thought I would have such an AMAZING diamond on my finger.  That being said after trying A TON of bands I went with the simple solid gold band.  I felt that it kept ALL the attention on my new diamond.  I love the classic clean look, far diferent that than the white and black diamond band I had before.  I love bands with stones in them but when I tried them for myself I just felt they took away from my Single stone which should be showcased for the timeless simplicity that it holds.

I wanted a simple band to go with my morganite ring because I didn’t want to take away from it’s beauty. I love how it looks.
