I’m sorry, I don’t know the name of the bands, but they have like these little princess cut diamonds around the band except the bottom of the ring. I wish I could wear them with my ring now… just for the extra bling! lol!

I am a total newbie to the boards (have been stalking for a while though 😉 and I love this thread!  Here is my pretty little thing, posing on the fake Trivial Pursuit card my future hubby used during the proposal!

@mandiehoward -thank you! that shot really doesnt do it justice…its a princess cut center stone with 3 small round cuts on each side – from the top it looks like its all one large sparkly diamond, but it has more dimension than that! I love your ring too!! And congratulations on your new engagement!

My fi is shopping for a rectangular princess cut stone about 2 carats and I would like it to be around 8mm high. I have read many times that perfect squares are the most expensive and rectangular are less expensive. His jeweler friend said radiants are less but I don’t think that is true?? He said it could be months before he finds what I’m looking for so there is much tension today because he promised he would get me a ring in November.

I gave him oval rings to look for, since they are also tall and not as expensive as several other stones. I don’t know how to tell him without him getting upset at me that I would rather not wait that long. He thinks if he gets the oval, I won’t really be happy so he’s really stressing out on me.

What should I say or do? HELP!

Hello Everyone! I am new here, first post. Thought I would add my picture as well!! It is still at the jewellers, have a couple more payments left. Can’t wait until I have it though!! The center stone is .62, and the sides total .47.
