I’m hosting a brunch for my friend who is having her second baby. So it’s not really a shower per-se, but more of a gathering of friends to celebrate new baby’s arrival (she was very against having a second shower, but I think second babies deserve a warm welcome too so wanted to do something for her!). I’m hosting it at a local restaurant and we don’t have a private room, so don’t have a ton of space. We’re not doing gifts. I’d like to do something baby themed, but considering the venue am a bit stuck with ideas. Does anyone have suggestions of what we could do at the table to get into the baby spirit without going overboard?

My shower was at a restaurant and there were a few games that I felt were appropriate and not obnoxious to the other guests.
In one game we passed around mystery baby foods and had to try and guess what was in them without opening them up.
Another game we played throughout the whole shower was: everyone got a mini clothespin (blue bc I’m having a boy) and once the rules of the game were announced no one was allowed to say the word “baby”. If someone said “baby” the person who called them out on it got their clothespin. The person with the most at the end of the shower won.
All of my guests wrote out ‘wishes for baby’. I’m sure there’s a template somewhere online–they just fill in the blanks at the end of the sentence. ie. I hope you never ________, I hope you always ________, I hope you laugh ______… it was really sweet and funny to read those sentiments later.
Hope you find some good ideas =)
