- Wedding: July 2010
The other teachers in the Spanish department at the school where I teach want to throw a shower for me and for the other girl in the department who’s getting married.
None of them are invited to my wedding, so it feels awkward, but it’s their choice to throw it, I guess, right? I’ve told them from the beginning that the wedding is in my hometown, so maybe they already know not to expect invites.
One of them (the ringleader) is a Pampered Chef saleslady, and I think it’s going to be a Pampered Chef shower, which, from what I heard, is kind of tacky. No opening presents, but ordering them and paying for them right in front of the bride. I don’t want to criticize, though, especially since they aren’t coming to the wedding. Do you know anything about the etiquette of this situation?
The shower will probably be in the last week of school (probably May 25 or so), so I thought I’d wait until after my May 8 shower to register for the Pampered Chef stuff. I’ll see what I get and what I still need, and register for the PC versions of some of my BBB stuff. If it’s a shower where everyone orders there, that should be enough notice, right?
