    @Epicpooka:  I say don’t worry about buying her something, she invited you last minute so you clearly have an out.  Also, it seems odd the way she approached it.

    @Epicpooka:  What a mess. She’s either gift grabby or thinks she doens’t have enough friends attending her shower so she wants to make some last minute.

    i would decline and not buy her a gift.  but wish her congratulatione when you see her next.
