I’m a bridesmaid in a friend’s wedding and we are doing a wine-themed bridal shower for her…I’m designing the invites and I need advice on how it looks! Here it is…
Obviously have to fill in the Bride’s name and all the other info….but a few specific things i’d like feedback on….
- How do the graphics look? too busy? okay? should i cut some things out? lighten/darken? etc…
- What do you think of the overall wording…..we found two different wording online and couldn’t decide on which to use so tried to incorporate both…hence the stanza at the top and stanza at the bottom….does it seem okay? or totally wack as if it shouldn’t belong on one invite?
Any other advise/opinions would be greatly appreciated!! I’ve got 2 days to get this done…we’re already pressed for time which is our (bridal party) fault…(oops!)
Thanks in advance!

Hi! I like the trio of wine glasses in the upper-right, but I think the faint background scrolls/graphics are making the piece a wee bit busy. I would try sticking to a solid color or a consistent texture if you think the solid color is too plain (like a paper texture/image).
I think the wording at the top is cute, though if you’re going to capitalize ‘Bride’ then make sure you do it everywhere on the invite! For the wording on the bottom… I had a hard time reading it, but what I could make seemed to be a bit too serious for the wording at the top. I personally prefer the stanza at the top, myself. 🙂
Kohls has a typo…
Also, I’m sorry to say it (and take it or leave it), but I haaaaate the typeface Papyrus (as do most designers). It’s actually kind of a laughing stock font in the typography community, lol.
I hope that helps!

You have “bride” with a lower-case b in one part of the rhyme and “Bride” with a capital B later on … ditto the “Kohl’s” typo.

I love this invitation. Any chance I can purchase it?
