@loveisallyouneed24:  My shower is next sunday, and I’m noticing the same thing! Although my mom said most people go the day before, if not the day of!

Yeah, people typically shop last minute. Also, some might forget to tell the cashier it’s a registry gift, so you may have to go in after-the-fact and mark things as purchased.

Just throwing out there… I usually stop by Target or wherever on the way, because I’m an awful procrastinator.

People love to shop last minute! Did you register at Macys? I think there is a sale on Saturday, people are probably waiting for that. There was a huge sale before my shower and my mom was peeking and said there was a LOT of activity that day.

My shower was last weekend. I invited 25 guests and registered at a department store for about 40 items. On the day of my shower I checked the registry and only 2 items had been purchased. However, everyone brought a gift and every gift was from my registry! A few repeat gift items, which was frustrating for some of the guests. Apparently most everyone forgot to tell the store’s cashier that the gift was from a registry!!!!

So, this is what happened with my shower also.  We have three registries and people didn’t scan the registry when they checked out.  They used our list as a shopping list.  The majority of our kohls registry got purchased but we had no clue.  Afterwards, I made a list and took it to kohls and they marked the things as bought :).  Anything that got bought off the BBB one I just deleted because there wasn’t a way to mark it off I guess *shrug*

So, maybe that will happen to you ladies.  I was pleasantly surprised.
