haha I was going to say don’t flash your guest. I was guilty of that, woops! Just have a great time, be sure to talk to all of your guests, after all, they are there for you! (this was harder than it seemed for me, I had friends I don’t get to see often and some of my parents friends I hardly knew, but it is important!)

I went to a shower where the gift opening was made into a BINGO game – that way everyone paid attention.

Find something to wear that it cute, comfortable, and photographs well. Thank everyone a whole lot. Have your Maid/Matron of Honor write down who gave you what. Make sure you eat something. Duck out for a moment to yourself when it all gets overwhelming (even though it’s overwhelming in a good way!)

And…ENJOY IT! ๐Ÿ™‚

What do people use for thank you cards for shower gifts? Do you use the same thank yous that you plan to send out for the wedding or do you get something different for the shower???

@Future Mrs K:  This!  I remembered to have someone take pictures while I was opening gifts, but I completely spaced on getting pictures with people, which are pictures that I would actually like.

Also, if you’re not comfortable with something, speak up!  It’s your shower!  My aunts took control and starting putting gifts away basically as soon as I opened them, and I would have preferred to do the traditional passing it around thing so that all guests could see them.  I still regret not speaking up about that!

@village_skeptic:  One of my bridesmaids has been taking the notes for all the showers since I was 10 so she is on duty.

We are going to find generic thank you cards for the shower.

I just found out our guest list is over 50 people and we keep on adding to it. There better be some good food there to keep me perky.

Be sure to spend a little bit of time with each guest, if possible. And thank them for coming!

Gift bingo is really good for those who want to participate in gift opening.

Don’t forget to have one of your BMs make a bouquet out of all the ribbon/tissue paper for you to use when you have your rehearsal. ๐Ÿ™‚

@delicious:  Good call on the ribbons for rehearsal bouquet thing. In my case, this got weird because the gift wrapping from BB&B was a lot more long ribbons than big fluffy flower-like bows. We gave my Future Sister-In-Law the bouquet construction job and she did a great job, though. ๐Ÿ™‚
