I’m due on Feb. 19 and I’m having my shower on Nov. 26. It is more conveniet for us because we have to travel so far, my husband would only have to take one day off, and everyone is already going to be in town. If it is conveniet for you and your family, then that is what matters.

I had my showers very early on becasue it worked better with our families’ schedules. So I had them at 20 weeks and 23 weeks. In most of the pictures, I don’t even look pregnant, but oh well. That’s my only complaint– and the only complaint anyone else had.

ETA: And as it turned out, it was for the better that we had the showers early because I went on bed rest and wouldn’t have been able to attend the showers if they had happened later.

I think you should do whatever works for you and your family!  My sister was due in February and we had her shower at Thanksgiving due to her work and travel issues.  I think it’s completely fine!  (and, in her case it was for the best since she went 6 wks early!!)

I wouldn’t think that it was weird at all 🙂 I would probably actually think it was a better idea! That gives you more time to prepare everything for the LO’s arrival!

I’m due January 22nd and my shower is next weekend, October 15th. I’ve heard no complaints from anyone about it being so early. Do what works best for your family.
