I take mine off in the shower, only because I can’t even run my hand through my hair without half my hair getting ripped out – my ring is a pear shaped and sits very high. Dishes – if its yucky stuff I take it off, if I am washing my hands, face anything I just leave it on.

I take mine off when I’m doing anything involving water — showering, hand washing, dishes, etc. I have really sensitive skin, and I will get a rash if any water at all gets trapped under my rings. I typically wear jeans, so I stick my rings in my pocket when I am washing my hands in a public restroom. And I put them on a shelf away from the sink in my own bathroom and/or kitchen.

I dont wear my rings at home, but if I’ve been out I wash my hands with rings on when I get home and put them away clean. If Im out I never take them off when I wash my hands, knowing me I would forget them in a public toilet! Im also scared that if I put them in my pocket I would forget and they would end up in the washing machine later.

I take my rings off to shower, wash my hands, apply lotion, working out, doing dishes, cleaning the house, etc.

starrynight898:  I take my ring off to shower, usually when i sleep (because it is high set and uncomfortable to sleep in), and SOMETIMES when i wash dishes (depends on what the dishes had in them). I wear it for everything else, and my plain wedding band never ever comes off for any reason

I usually shower with my rings on unless I’m washing my hair because I don’t want my marquise e-ring getting stuck in my hair and I don’t want conditioner to coat it.

If I do shower with my rings on, I take them off when I moisturize my face and lotion my body. They go back on when I’m done getting ready.

I leave my ring on about 99% of the time. ..it would drive me crazy to take it on and off all the time.

I shower in the mornings and since I don’t sleep in my ring either, I just wait to put my ring back on after sleeping/washing my face/showering. With my long hair and the shit ton of hair products I use, I feel like my ring would get in the way.

I have showered with my rings on, but I stopped doing that several years ago on the weekend of my stepdaugher’s wedding. I was at the hotel, and I ended up getting a chunk of soap caught in the basket of my ring under the diamond, and I couldn’t remove it. So, there I was, in an unfamiliar city, racing to get to a hair appointment for my updo, all the while trying to find a jeweler that would be willing to clean my rings for me. Thankfully, I found a great jewelry store across the street from the salon, and they cleaned my rings.

So, since then, I do not ever shower with my rings on. 🙂

I never take either rings off. Shower, gym, travel, sleep, it stays on. I don’t want to lose it, and I can’t lose it if it’s on my finger.

For a regular shower, I just leave it on but on a hair washing day I take it off so I can really get in there without it getting stuck in my hair and I keep it off if I’m blowdrying.

I take it off if I’m doing the dishes, though.

I have big curly hair so I always take my ring off before any shower that I know I’m shampooing for or any time I’m doing my hair, period. Other than that, my ring is always on.

I keep my ring on for showering but wash myself using a well known brand of French shower oil rather than shower gel or soap.  The shower oil tends to remove the build-up of other washing products and so the ring stays sparkly for longer.

I have a pretty neat dishwasher and a husband and so washing up is at a minimum.  If the pots and pans are really gunky I take my ring off and put it in a small purple jeweller box I keep in the kitchen especially for that purpose.  Or, if I’m just about to clean my ring anyway, I wash up with the ring on so that when I do clean my ring the difference between the gunky and sparkly ring gives an enhanced wow factor.
