Hi bees! I need your help! I have 6 bridesmaids and bought them silk wrap (pashmina) thingies for the wedding day. I got 4 gray and 2 raspberry colored because they didn’t have all gray. My colors are violet, tangerine and gray (however, we have added black because the gray tuxes didn’t work out). They weren’t too expensive, $15 each, but now I REALLY want to get them all black cardigan shrugs. I don’t know why I gave up on that idea when I first wanted it, but now I’m back to it. I know my color is gray, but the guys are in black tuxes, so don’t you think the black cardies would look so cute??
So, am I stupid to spend more money on a different cover-up?? If not, do you think it’s OK if they’re not all exactly the same? My sister is plus sized but no one else is, so I’m having a heck of a time finding regular womens and plus size shrugs that are the same.
Thanks for helping an OCD bee 🙂
Here’s the dress as reference…

how are you going to decide who gets a raspberry one? I would feel kind of weird if I did…

Oh sorry, didn’t explain that part…I have two maids of honor, so they would both get raspberry, and the other BMs would get gray.

Rather than trying to find identical misses and plus size cardigans, I would go with mis-matched black cardigans instead. Just set a sleeve length (short, 3/4, or long) and let the girls go shopping.Black cardigans can be found in any size at any price point.

You could get the cardigans and then give them the pashminas as part of their Bridesmaid or Best Man gift? Or you could just try to sell them to another bride! 🙂

@knittylady:wellll that’s the issue…I originally bought the wraps as part of their gift, so the cardigans would also be part of their gift 🙂 I have a gift-buying problem haha. Or I suppose I could tell them all to please bring a black cardigan/shrug that day. I’m so indecisive!
