Oh god, oh god. It’s my worst nightmare. I thouht it was nerves when my stomach was churning yesterday but after a long night of bad diarrhea and vomiting, I’m accepting that nope, I’m just sick. GAHHH. I get married in three days. THREE DAYS.
Please send me good thoughts, advice, whatever you’ve got. I have so much to do between now and the big day and I want to be so excited but I’m just feeling so awful 🙁

You poor thing! Hopefully it’s just a 24 hour bug and passes soon.
Can you make a doctors appointment today? You might be able to get something to help keep the sickness at bay.
I’m sure your BM’s/mother/MIL would be willing to help you out with everything that still has to be done.
I really hope you get well soon, keep us posted!

Go to the doctors & a shot of b-12 & take (or drink) as much vitamin C as possible. It works every time for me!

Moraz: oh no 🙁 definitely get to the dr if possible – they might have some sort of recommendation. and get some help on everything you need to do so you can rest! you’ll always heal quicker if you are well-rested.

Girl, it’s time to go whole hog on getting this bug out of you ASAP!
First thing: load up on vitamins–a multivitamin and vitamin c supplement can’t hurt–and water
Second thing: eat some yogurt (without too much extra crap in it. The more natural the better. If you can get your hands on some fresh guava, that’s also very good for diarrhea
Third: do not be afraid to take Immodium, if necessary! It’s not the most natural solution, but it will turn off the runs like a faucet.

B-12 shot, drink tons of water and sleep as much as you can.

I would not take anything. Just rest as much as possible and let it pass. When the vomiting subsides, start pushing a lot of fluids. If the diarrhea doesn’t fully pass by Saturday, use a little immodium. The biggest problem is that you don’t want to go from one extreme to the other. Being constipated and bloated is not comfortable either.

Ahh! It sounds so awful, but luckily most sickness and diarrhea bugs only last 24 hours. Get to a doctor and tell them its your wedding- they may be able to give you something that will hide the symptoms for at least the day if it is a longer illness. Immodium is a lifesaver, if you are still sick on the morning of the wedding definitely take it. As far as the vomiting- the doctor can give tablets that slow down acid production and bile in the stomach. It helps alot. Drink soo much water. I hope you are better for your wedding!

I’m so sorry! In addition to what the others suggested, tank up on zinc. Suck on those zinc lozenges all day… it’s super effective. If nothing else, Immodium + joy / adrenaline will get you through your wedding day A-OK. xox

Moraz: Don’t stress, it will only make it worse. Get LOTS OF REST the next 2 days!!! As must as you want to or need to get things done, leave it up to family and friends!!! There is this stuff called Kick-Ass Immune from Wish Garden Herbs that you can find at Sprouts or Whole Foods that works wonders, or even Zicam is pretty awesome. It might be too late for Zicam though, so your best bet is to just sleep it out and most importantly DON’T STRESS!
Feel better, wishing you the best!!!

I’m so sorry! The good news is that this is not the night OF your wedding. It is most likely a quick bug and will pass soon. Second the recommendations to drink fluids, rest, and let your body heal itself.
If that doesn’t work, there’s always Immodium and Zofran (prescription anti-nausea). I would call your doctor and explain the situation and see if he or she has any recommendations for you.
You will get better by your wedding, I’m sure of it.

Moraz: Go get some Bragg’s Apple Cider vinegar. You can research how much apple cider vinegar helps, and I swear it’s true! It balances your pH levels to help fight viruses. I take it when I feel like I’m getting sick, and I swear it works every time.
Just mix like 2 tablespoons of it with some water, heat in microwave, and add some honey. It tastes pretty awful, but it works!

As one pp said, these symptoms are usually caused by a virus and are self limiting. There is usually no need to seek medical attention unless you become dehydrated. Vitamins, B 12, zinc etc will do nothing for your symptoms.
Home treatment for vomiting-
vomiting is the symptom you want to focus on initially as if you can’t keep down fluids you won’t be able to stay hydrated. If a person only has diarrhea they can usually manage to keep themselves hydrated.
Home treatment for diarrhea
If you have concerns that you are becoming dehydrated, do the Check Your Sympoms on the left side. The results will indicate if you need to see a doctor and if so, in what time frame.

could be a short bout of food poisoning or stress. It’s pretty common, and should go away within 24-48 hrs. Immodium or pepto bismol helps if the diarrhea is really bad, and make sure you drink lots of fluids. Eating “bland” foods (chicken noodle soup, plain potatoes, etc) helps alot too.
Also per the vitamin suggestions—anything above 100% of your daily recommended intake for most vitamins gets flushed from your body in your urine, so don’t waste your money on those vitamin c, zinc or b-12 supplements unless you aren’t eating enough food with those nutrients. They won’t hurt, but they also won’t actually help. Most of these bugs naturally fade within a day or two anyways.
