It’s going around like crazy unfortunately. I work in an office and am feverish and achy today, but NOT throwing up/sneezing/coughing etc and am still functional, so here I am. Since you’re a nurse though, you should stay home. Your coworkers will definitely understand and your coworkers and patients will also appreciate it. Feel better soon and don’t feel guilty. It would feel worse to think that you could get sick people sicker, right? Rest up:)

Willow90:  I’m sorry to hear you’re sick! Both of my parents are home with the flu. I was sick a few times (bad colds) for the first 3 months after giving birth (I hear it happens sometimes). It’s annoying but I’m so grateful to have a job that allows me to telework. I can do everything from home so I took full advantage of that so I didn’t have to use any of my personal time off hours (we don’t have a separation of sick leave vs. vacation etc).  Get well soon!

you’re doing the right thing staying home.  going in sick helps no one!

I’m sure your coworkers know you well enough to know that you’re not faking/staying home just because.  I bet bringing in goodies when you’re well will be a hit!
