LOL. My fiance is a big baby sometimes when he’s sick, but that said, he also knows never to try that kind of thing with me! He loves it when I take care of him and pouts when I leave, but he would NEVER, not even on his death bed, turn down a meal I made him, especially one he requested! Nip that behavior in the bud! He’d be eating cereal in my house

ETA not that you wanted advice hahaha

My Darling Husband just sits there and sighs and does the patheitc “ohhhhaaawww” thing like he’s dying. He would never get that picky about food and pout that I left him for 15 minutes, because he knows better, but he still has some annoying habits when he’s sick.

My Darling Husband just likes to sleep and be left alone (thank God)! If he asks for something, I will get it for him but other than that, I leave him be. I am the same way, though. I really don’t like beng around people when I am sick, I just want to be left alone.

Fiance usually tries to put on a brave face, or at least be polite, but sometimes he gets picky and irritable and that’s when I leave him alone, suggest he sleeps, and he can eat crackers and juice if he doesn’t like what I made.

A little tough love when they get overly babyish is fine, I say!

I’m the baby when I’m sick in our family. My Darling Husband likes to just be left alone. I want to nurse him and he just wants me to leave him be. I’m not quite as bad as your hubby, but I do want extra attention when I’m sick.

@brandybelle:  You ARE NOT!  Fi is a mess when he’s sick, I want to send him home to his mamma until he’s better EVERY TIME.

My SO is a big huge baby when he’s sick too. Makes me nuts.

I’m not saying that I don’t get a little whimper-y when I’m sick, but in general, I think guys handle illness worse than women. Maybe because we’re so often put in the caretaker role just by virtue of being women? I don’t know. But I’m with you on this.

Luckily, Fiance isn’t too bad when he’s sick.  He sleeps a lot and doesn’t want to make me sick, so he doesn’t require much babying.

My exDH was a little bitch when he was sick though and he was sick all the time.

@missrobots:  We are like this too…Darling Husband just wants me to leave him alone and in bed and gets annoyed if I keep trying to do stuff for him. So I’ll just go out, get your typical sick person stuff, leave it by the bed in case he wants it and then I just give him space. I’m the type who wants to lay on the couch watching TV and have him make me food and bring me meds and crank the humidifier and stuff. Unfortunately for me he works 60 hours a week, so that is not usually how it plays out – usually he’s not home and I have to do it myself. Or be pathetic and call my mom and ask her to bring me some stuff, depending on my level of sickness.

Oh if he ever turned down dinner like that, I’d ask him if he’s prefer getting married to me or his mommy.

My Fiance likes to sleep.  He sleeps when he’s not feeling well.  He sleeps so much that I start checking on him to make sure he’s conscious

My SO is the same way, and it drives me kind of crazy sometimes. It turns into a boy who cried wolf situation, the few times he was really sick-sick I didn’t really believe him!
