The only time I don’t like wedding planning is when everyone puts there two cents in but doesn’t wanna put a dollar in to pay for their suggestions! LOL I hope you have fun with planning sooner or later! : )

Nope, often found it to be a giant PITA.

While often inspiring, places like this can also just pile on the stress.  That’s the main reason I still hang around occasionally, to try to offer support and chill pills 😉

Keep focused on the good part – the marriage.  EVERYTHING else is just details, for a single day.  Try to avoid burning bridges and have fun.

Don’t feel bad! I am seriously hating the planning at the moment. And feeling bad cos I feel like it sounds really bratty to be saying that. We have a venue, we have a band, we have a cake, I have a dress, but so many other things are up in the air and I hate having so many decisions all still pending. And the internet is so dangerous, because it multiplies the number of options by a bajillion – you can always just google something else really quickly in case someone has a deal on somewhere, or there’s another photographer you missed. We are getting married in Ireland but living in the UK, so it’s not like I can just pop out for a few hours to sort some stuff out. So excited to be marrying Himself, but everything else? – I’d just like to lie down and have a big sleep.

In the same boat!  Wedding planning has its days!   When I start to get irritated or overwhelmed I try to focus on other things, and just get away from it.  The most stressful thing I find about a wedding is how quickly everything adds up for a significant sized guest list (ours is 130)  We are on a strict budget (that initially we thought to have a BASIC wedding would be about $2000.  Now with a little more experience in planning this whole thing, its not realiztic to have a small budget but who do you cut out of your guest list!!???  Or do you not have food!  Sometimes you just have to splure on the things that matter the most to you.  Ours was including all of our family to share in our special day.  That being said, we have cut other non- essentials out of our budget….wine at tables, photographer is a friend of ours, bought my wedding dress from another girl who gave me a steal on it!

Then there are other times when I can completely envision of how perfect the day will be with what details are in place.  Try not to get hung up on details of things that most of your guests will not notice!  Enjoy planning the start of your life with your man and when it gets obverwhelming, step away fom it for a few days, or better yet, incorporate your hubby into helping you with things.  GL soon2bmrsnixon!

My wedding is about 3 weeks away, and I’m finally tired of planning lol. There are still lots of little things to do, but it’s not as fun as it was when I first became engaged. I’m stressed out because I’ve just been so busy! I’m ready to get married now!!

@MrsElopement:  I feel like I am almost at that point too!  We already sent the Save the Dates out….How did you handle it?  Do you wish you would have moved forward with the wedding?
