@cmbr: I agree with you that a lot of people don’t even realize that it’s a normal issue with pave bands. I have a pave but we did a lot of research beforehand and so we knew what we were getting into. I rarely ever take my ring off (pretty much only when I wash my hair) and so far I’ve only had 1 stone fall out (fell out of the halo) which happened within 2 weeks of getting it. Since then I noticed that one stone became loose (possibly the same stone) and I just took it to a local jeweler and they tightened it for free. That was several months ago and I haven’t had anymore issues so far. I’m hoping it stays that way at least for a while!

Oh dear, this happened to me all the time with my engagement ring! It was always losing stones and needing to be sent away for repair. I probably spent more time during my engagement (which was only a year) not wearing my ring than wearing it as I was so frightened of damaging it.
This is why I went for a plain gold band as my wedding ring. I couldn’t wait to be married so I could keep my wedding band on and not have to worry about damaging/losing any stones and needing to send it away for repair. I seriously don’t know how people who use eternity bands as wedding rings manage it!
I’m afraid this is very very common and something they probably don’t tell you in the jewellry store.
My mum has 3 rings – engagement ring, wedding ring and eternity band, and her eternity band is ALWAYS missing a stone. She got so fed up of keep having to send it out for repair that she just wear it with stones missing. In all honesty though, I had no idea til she showed me.
You probably notice it more than anyone else does if that makes you feel any better.

I had my ring made in Hatton Garden as well and they said if anything went wrong within a year of purchase, they would fix it/replace it free of charge.

I had this happen within a week of wearing BOTH my engagement ring and wedding band. I lost one diamond in each because the ring was sized down to a 4.25 from the standard 7. I was pre-warned that this could happen when sizing down so much, and it was fixed quickly and didn’t cost me anything, so hopefully you have nothing to worry about!
