Mine feels pretty sturdy to me!  We got it from James Allen ๐Ÿ˜Š

Here’s mine by Henri Daussi. I love that we can get bands for both sides of the ring and they will fit flush. Or we could get a wrap. Not sure why the last photo is sideways, but I can’t fix it.

Here’s mine – purchased on Ebay.  First pic is from the top, well mostly, then the side.  Moissy with diamond smaller stones.

If you want it to be sturdier, you want to get a donut underneath or add the cathedral arms that PP have posted. For ultimate sturdiness, go for both.

Here’s a VC example of donut+cathedral arms: https://www.victorcanera.com/rings/engagement/vintage-french-cut-halo-solitaire

And another: https://www.victorcanera.com/rings/engagement/the-josie-vintage-halo-solitaire

Another: https://www.victorcanera.com/rings/engagement/halo-solitaire-with-lotus-profile

Here is just a donut: https://www.victorcanera.com/rings/engagement/the-emilya-halo-solitaire

Another with just donut: https://www.victorcanera.com/rings/engagement/the-emilya-with-petal-profile

You could also go split-shank with donut: https://www.victorcanera.com/rings/engagement/the-anne-marie-with-canera-cushion-in-double-halo

Here’s mine from the top and side. We got it at a pawn shop but I think is originally from Zales, maybe? I’ve banged it numerous times and never take it off and it’s been super durable for the 4 years I’ve had it and then who knows how long the previous owner had it for.

I have a very low profile ring, which helps a lot for me as I am very clumsy, but it was difficult to take photos of it on my finger, so I apologize! But I LOVE the basket on my ring. It feels very sturdy and protective of the diamond.

The one small downside is that a straight band won’t fit with my ring because of the basket, but I have really come to love the curved band, so I don’t think it will bother me.

Ps, we purchased our setting through an amazing Etsy seller, Olive Ave jewelry. And the band is 1.6mm I believe!

Terrible pics, but here is my halo with cathedral shoulders and a donut from Victor Canera. It’s very study, even at 1.8 or 1.9 mm.

Mine was custom made by David Klass.  I designed it to include the rose which is something I incorporate into the majority of my designs.
