ispeakingifs :  you’re welcome! That’s primarily because it is low set. I felt the high set ones looked that way that’s why I got the low set one.

I have a 9.5mm H&A moissanite in a 6 prong solitaire 🙂 it might even be the prongs that are throwing you off/could make a diference. I have claw prongs, which might look more “tentacle-y” 🤷‍♀️ Hope this helps!

ispeakingifs :  hmm yeah, I suspect it’s not the size of the stone so much as the prong style that is bothering you, and possibly the basket style.
