My setting is Mark Morrell, and the side view of the prongs is my favorite thing about it! It’s a 6-prong ring, size 4.5 (the diamond is 0.76 carat).

Maybe you want to look at basket settings instead of prong settings? I have this hand-me-down ring thats probably a little dated in style, but definitely no tentacles here!

Round cut brilliant 0.6 carat solitaire in a low cathedral setting. It has four prongs set in a kite orientation. Hope that helps!

ispeakingifs :  I was looking at the Esme from Brilliant Earth too, but I like Mark Morrell’s designs better. He makes a few different settings, but I chose the Slim Petite Torchiere, which has a 2mm band (the Petite Torchiere is the same design, but with a 2.5mm band). Here’s a top view of my ring.
