ok, so i really feel like i should have learned this a long time ago (i’m 29), but i have no idea what girls are supposed to do about sideburns.
I have blonde hair, which is super fine, but very thick (a lot of hair). My sideburns are even more fine – what i call baby hair. I don’t think they are noticeable really, but when my hair is pulled up I’ve always got ‘wisps’ in front of my ears. I have no idea whether this is normal or noticeable – i’ve never paid attention to other girls!
So, with the wedding updo – I’m trying to decide what to do. I’ve always been afraid to shave them, bc I worry they will grow in darker, thicker more noticeable. I do not want stubble!
So, what do girls do?

Do you want a formal, tight updo or a looser one? You could always pull a little more hair from above your ears out of the updo and have a few curled pieces hanging down in front of your ears. Something like this:

Mine are dark brown and relatively thick (yeah – I kind of hate them) and I wax them off on occasion when they really start bugging me. They don’t grow back any thicker or darker and I don’t feel like I have sideburns for a while.

the wedding is pretty formal and i’ll be wearing the traditional veil, so I was leaning toward a ‘clean’ updo. although i really like the first pic you posted!

ooh, I’d love more pics of what girls with this have done. I want to put my hair up also, in a ‘clean’ tight updo, but…. my sideburns are BAD. I never normally even wear my hair up so that it wont be noticible.

I have what I like to call “peach fuzz” in that area too. I’m blonde as well and would never consider shaving my face…ekk! I think it could very well grow in darker and that would suck big time. I think lots of girls have this. I would use maybe a nair product if anything..

I’d just pull them back with tons of hairspray!
