To quote a few bees before me, “Facebook Is The Devil!” Hahaha! I was looking through a friend’s pics, and came across one where she was in her cousin’s wedding. I fell in LOVE w/ the tiny chapel that was in the background! I of course had to google the venue. It’s local. And gorgeous. And affordable. Y’all, I gasped at the cuteness and quaint elegance of it all. When the day finally comes, best believe it’s at the top of our possible venue list, lol!
I know, I know, I’m just torturing myself, but glad I did, b/c I would have never known this place existed if not for stumbling across it. Just had to come vent to the hive, so as not to violate my vow to the Christmas Challenge! Thanks for listening!

Don’t feel bad–I always look at ppl’s wedding pics on FB, even if it only friends of people I know. It is a semi obsession to look at wedding-related stuff i guess 🙂 I love to see other people’s ideas and I love seeing how happy everyone is. I think it’s good to look on there, because, like in your case, you may find a great local vendor or location! I hope you get the cute chapel!!

I not only look at friend’s and friends of friends’ pics, but I also check out blogs of local photographers to scope out venues. The internet just makes it way too easy for waiting gals to torture themselves!

I’m curious, what venue are you talking about?

I agree that facebook can be the devil, but it’s a great thing that you found such a great venue that’s local and affordable! Without facebook you may have never known it existed!

@yaneres: I totally do that too! I love looking at photographer’s blogs.
I’m always looking for wedding ideas. I keep a notebook of all the cool things I come across so when I actually get to start planning, I’ll remember everything.
