Ugh that is terrible…sorry!!!

Perhaps the bright side is that you were at least able to enjoy the wedding without this dark cloud over your head?

I got laid off in January… so I totally feel your pain. Just be positive! At least you’re already through your wedding and you paid for everything already!

Oh wow. I’m so incredibly sorry. This economy is such an incredible wreck. I’m a newspaper reporter (which s quite possibly the worst industry to be in right now) and I’m living in total fear of the same situation.

Something will come along for you. There’s always something around the corner you know?

I am so sorry to hear that. My company just laid off some people yesterday so I am living moment by moment.  You will find something bigger and better!

Miss SoonToBee: I’m with you. I’m a newspaper reporter and everyone at the paper lives in fear of another round of layoffs. The paper had its first-ever (in 125 years!) layoffs on my birthday last year (thank goodness I was off and not laidoff). And they said more might come, but are doing their best to not do another round.

IrishGirl: I have the worst sick feeling in my stomach for you. Gosh, that’s terrible. Just like everyone else, it’s a good thing the wedding is over, paid for and a very happy memory.

A friend who was laidoff decided to make the most of it. He wanted to start a company in about two years, so the timeline just moved up. What is something that you planned to do in the next couple of years that you could shoot for now?

oh no! I’m sorry, that really sucks 🙁

But, as somebody else pointed out, at least you were able to enjoy your wedding and honeymoon without this hanging over you.

Best of luck as you figure out what you’ll be doing next!
