First off let me say this, I LOVE the dress I purchased. I absolutely cannot wait to get alterations so she can fit how I want her too and honestly she is everything I’m envisioning for my dress.
Today I came into work and logged onto my computer pulling up my work email account first like I always do. I see an email from Maggie Sottero. Normally I just deleate them right away because I already have a Maggie dress I love and why do I need to look at anymore? But this one had pictures of a real Maggie bride (who also just happens to be a country star) so I opened it to take a gander at the wedding photos.
For whatever reason after looking at her wedding photos I decided to look at other real Maggie Brides and their dresses. As I’m looking to see if anyone else has worn the dress I will wear….I spot it. A BEAUTIFUL dress that would also work with my wedding vision…sigh.
I won’t get a new dress. I’ve already had dress regret once and sold that dress to buy my new dress. But seriously WHY did I open that email? Why can’t I stop looking at wedding dresses. Even when normally I look at a dress and say “Yeah that’s pretty but I still like mine better” there will still be that 1% chance that I see another dress and go “OMG that’s gorgeous, hmmm maybe I should have waited to purchase my dress….” UGH
So here is my dress

And the new dress I’m drooling over:

The new dress is so pretty but I love love LOVE your dress! Hands down. I did the same thing once I bought my dress I pined after other ones, but I stayed strong and kept my original 🙂

@Babyroni: I know 100% without a doubt I will never have dress regret with my dress. I think I just love the ruffles on the skirt on the 2nd dress. I really LOVE dresses with layers and ruffles on the skirts but I didn’t find one I had to have when looking. I’m just going to have to pretend I never saw the other dress and move on.

@NurseMandie: I keep doing the same thing. I think a big part of it is being in a limbo with the dress.
So much emphasis is put on the dress that once you have it and need to wait for the alterations, even though there is so much to do for the wedding and day to day life, one of the things a girl is suppose to focus on is out of reach temporarily.
Both dresses are gorgeous, I love your but can see how you would drool over the other!!

@NurseMandie: You gave me dress regret again. That 2nd dress is everything I was looking for (except it does not have lace, but still that’s the silhouette and style I had in mind all the while, haha !) We’re on the same boat ! It’s hard, there are so many options out there.

Because it becomes a slight obsession. I’m still scouring the dress boards seeing all the dresses out there and I got married three weeks ago!

@BellaDee: Or short, fingerless gloves, even ! It would work with that dress, but unfortunately, I don’t think it would work for the dress I already own.

@waitingalongtime: Completely agree. If I had the dress at home and could play dress up once in a while I think I would be satisfied. Instead I’m living vicariously on WB looking at others dresses and post wedding photos.

@NurseMandie: That’s what I do. Since I bought it pre-owned, my dress is in its bag, right there in my bedroom. From time to time, I put it back on and I am still able to re-convince myself I chose correctly. But I don’t think I’ll be 100% sure until I have alterations made, and found ideas on how to accessorize it. I also do not like the chapel train. I’d like to cut it off.
