Our wedding is June 6th, 2015, and since the weather is a bit unpredictable, we are setting out three baskets next to one another- one with umbrellas, one with blankets, and one wth bottled water (since it may be rainy, cold, or hot…)
I bought a medium sized chalkboard to prop up against the baskets, but am not sure what to write on it (was hoping for something more creative than “take one”!)… but I can’t think of what to write! (we were hoping to make one sign to encompass all three baskets, rather than a separate sign for each).
Any ideas of what to write?!?

are you letting people keep the umbrellas and blankets? Or just borrow?

Come rain, wind or shine… Please take an umbrella, blanket or water bottle with compliments from the Bride and Groom 🙂

” Cold, thirsty, wet? We’ve got you covered.”

I like this, however, I would say “… from the Groom and Bride” I like things that rhyme (or at least sound similar) 🙂

Or a combo of the above:
We’ve got you covered, whether wind, rain, or shine. Please take one, two or three from the groom and the bride.
We’ve got you covered, whether wind, rain, or shine. Please take one, two or three. Love, the groom and the bride.
Or if they’re not meant to keep them..
We’ve got you covered, whether wind, rain, or shine. Please borrow one, two or three from the groom and bride.
(I’m kind of partial to rhyming, too).

no, they’re just to borrow! (Though I probably won’t need 50 blankets from ikea after the wedding…)

Thanks for the ideas so far everyone!! I’m really stumped!

Just a thought… you’ll have a general idea what the forecast will be about a week ahead of time. Why waste money on blankets if the 10 day forecast is predicting a slew of 80 degree days and everyone wants a water bottle?
EDIT: saw that they’re just to borrow. Well, same concept – what’s the point of bringing them with you if you know the night before they won’t be necessary? Plus it’s likely they will not all be returned to you.

I think it is a thoughtful idea but there is zero chance that you’ll need all three of those. As you get about a week out, you’ll have a pretty good idea what the weather is going to look like. At VERY least, you’ll know if it will be hot OR cold. I’d be pretty puzzled by a display like that.

I understand what you mean! we have them to use though, and if I happen to remember the night before or day of then maybe I’ll ask the venue to just put out what might be needed- but to be honest I’ll probably forget and dont think its a big enough priority to remember to tweak the baskets at the last minute! 🙂
also as background- we have a canoe to use, so planned to put the three baskets in each section of the canoe (wedding is at a lake)…so might look empty if only one basket is out?
I didn’t consider that people might be confused though…that’s a bit of a concern!
