Chaedra:  I considered it, but since we’re having a rustic, fall, barn wedding now I’m thinking of having “apple pie moonshine” as favors instead!

Chaedra:  We are going to do a “perfect pear” martini but watered down a bit. I have one and my eyes cross!!

Chaedra:  We are having a drink that i’m naming (for the night lol) The Happily Ever After.  It tastes like an adult shirley temple. Yummm 😉

We considered it, but I don’t drink so picking something would’ve been difficult.  We just had a full open bar and let everyone pick their own drinks lol.

We’re going to have two signature drinks – a Moscow mule and, probably, Jack and Coke (something many, many members of my fiancé’s family drink. We will be naming them after our dogs: Hoagy and Echo. Possibly our favorite nicknames for our dogs: Flying Hoagy Dragon, and Noble Echo Steed. Not sure yet . . . We’ll include pics of our sweet boys at the bar 🙂

BurlapnLace:  Ooh, I love the idea of ‘apple pie moonshine’ for a rustic, fall, barn wedding. We’re also having a rustic, barn wedding, but since FI is originally from the South, we’re having a Southern-inspired menu. We’ve therefore decided to do blackberry mint juleps served in silver mint julep cups:

We will be doing His and Hers drinks in addition to the wine and beer we’ll serve. (: His drink will be Jack and Coke and my drink will be an Amaretto Sour.

These are some good ideas for choosing/naming signature cocktails. We’re leaning towards something frozen and fruity. Also, I love garnishes so maybe big sprigs of mint or cut fruit.

We will definitely have Moscow Mule’s- they are refreshing, simple, and guys won’t think they are too girly or sweet. And I’m thinking also a spiked flavored or infused lemonade, possibly watermelon, strawberry, or basil/mint. We are planning for a summer wedding

We’re having a small, intimate destination wedding in Puerta Vallarta. Being in Mexico, I can’t imagine not having margaritas, that’s what we intend on doing.
