We’re putting a framed "Drink Menu" ay the bar that lists our signature drinks and what’s in them. You can’t really tell people to *only* order those drinks; usually the bartender will happily make any drink so long as he has the ingredients.

I’m considering doing the same…. Maybe have them passed around by servers, offer only beer and wine at the actual bar (we are thinking just having a self serve bar and recruiting someone to keep it stocked).

You can make the garnish personal and they will get the hint. my fav drink is a white cosmo, i’m thinking of adding gummy bears as cute touch.

I think a cute menu on the bar and maybe on the tables would look nice. Maybe it’s just for my venue, but the table menus might be nice because you can add a little note saying to stop by the bar to get a drink. Because if there’s any delivery/pouring involved we have to pay a bunch more. You can make it tie in by framing it to look like the centerpieces.

I think it would be a wise idea to also offer beer and wine (two kinds of beer – one lager, one ale – and one red and one white wine should be sufficient) at the bar in addition to your signature drink.  Some people just don’t like cocktails and besides, the beer and wine may end up being cheaper for you than the signature drink.  The bar still wouldn’t have to be fully stocked; just beer, wine and ingredients for your drink.

You can just print out a drink menu to display at the bar and also have servers pass around trays of your signature drink at the cocktail hour.
