I need some help please. My venue asked if I wanted to offer a signature drink. I’m not a mix drink type of girl, but it sounds like fun. I like tequila so maybe margaritas? What’s your favorite mix drink? What would be good for a wedding? We don’t have a “theme” so anything goes 🙂 Thank you!

Margaritas are great, also maybe a red and a white sangria? You could do different flavored daquiries or frozen margaritas?

I would be worried about tequila because LOTS of people don’t like it. I would pick a more universal spirit, like Vodka or Rum (Rum is usually pretty safe). I think Sangria is a cute idea for a May wedding, or a frozen daquiri. Something refreshing!

@MrsTamboril: margaritas would be a popular cocktail. i would suggest having them shaken on ice instead of blended. that would be easier and less noisy.
mojitos are another popular cocktail. i’ve had them made with raspberries too and they are great.

@mypinkshoes: Ohhh, good point about the noise of a blender! I didn’t think of that- I went to a wedding that had ragular and strawberry margarita flavors, but they were in those slushee machines- not in a blender.

Thank you ladies. I don’t think they have machines for frozen drinks. A shaken margarita sounds good. Perhaps that could be the bride’s drink and mojito could be the groom’s?

We’re doing two signature drinks that fit our Southern theme.
The first we are calling a Blushing Bride with lemonade, sliced strawberries, vodka and a splash of grenadine.
The second we are calling a Dixie Delight with iced tea, southern comfort, amaretto and peach schnapps.
