What about the Cajun Navy? They were highly regarded/appreciated rescuers during Harvey. And in the Carolinas. Speaks to hurricanes while referencing something with a positive connotation. Honestly though, I’d rather it be just called a hurricane and know what’s in it.

You could also call it gator blood, but that’s not romantic.

If you will be taking your FH name I would call it Hurrican (FH last name)

I think a hurricane for your NOLA wedding is in poor taste, TBH. I’m not easily offended, but if we’re getting down to the nitty gritty and PC-ness, it’s not a good look. Anyway, if you do insist on having it, I like a pp idea of Hurricane [New Last Name].

I love Moonrise‘s suggestion “The Big Breezy”! or PP’s suggestion of “Hurricane (FH’s Last name)” if you’re taking his name!

Wait, people rename already-established cocktails in order to make “signature cocktails”? That’s not a “signature drink”; that’s stealing and renaming a drink that already has a perfectly good name. I guess I wasn’t familiar with this practice.

So my vote goes for calling the drink by its name.
